View book of the Hampton Institute. Large photographs appear on almost every page with captions explaining the activity depicted. In 1907 there were 1295 students, including 487 children in the Whittier Training School. Ninety-eight of the 808 boarders were Native Americans, fifty of whom were female. The quality of the photographs is excellent.
