Whole issue of a monthly magazine for African Americans. This issue contains an article entitled “Woman’s Part in the Uplift of the Negro Race,” a compilation of eight opinions written by African American women. The opinions are described with headings such as “Bend the Tree While It Is Young,” “Race Pride and Christian teaching,” “Influence of Home Life,” and “A Deeper Reverence for Home Ties.” Four of the women who contributed these views are pictured in photographs that accompany this article.
