Whole issue of “a monthly illustrated magazine devoted to the interests of the Colored Race.” The magazine is illustrated with photographs and displays advertisements in the front and back. This issue contains a brief sketch of Albion Westbray Tourgee by a colleague of Judge Tourgee when he was a Republican activist in North Carolina during Reconstruction.
