Whole issue of “a monthly illustrated magazine devoted to the interests of the Colored Race.” The magazine is illustrated with photographs and displays advertisements in the front and back. A portrait of Roscoe Conkling Bruce appears on the cover. His article, entitled “Social Development in the Black Belt,” deals with African Americans living in Alabama around Tuskegee.
