Essay on the Negro Problem in which the author outlines five phases: 1) the development of the problem, 2) the problem as it currently exists, 3) the necessity of carefully studying the problem, 4) the work already accomplished, and 5) a program for future study. Mr. Stone has noted a footnote in which Du Bois discusses the need for a bibliography on African American material.
