Biographical sketches of two abolitionists by a friend and confident. Photographs of the author and of William Lloyd Garrison appear on pages 1311 and 1313, respectively. There are also two etchings of Garrison’s grammar school and birthplace. Facsimiles of two broadsides warning the citizens of Boston to be on the lookout for slave catchers as well as the masthead of Garrison’s newspaper, The Liberator, are also included.
