Three opinion pieces by Southern churchmen concerning lynching. Bishop Strange (North Carolina) offers three suggestions for the prevention of lynching. Bishop Galloway (Mississippi) argues that mob violence is inexcusable in any situation, and Bailey, editor of the Biblical Recorder, asserts that lynching reverses the forward movement of civilization and reflects negatively on any culture that tolerates it.
