Excerpts from a diary kept by an officer of a colonization society on his trip to the Bassa region of Liberia. The pamphlet is illustrated with two woodcuts, one a “view of Regent’s Town” and the other depicting a European male gesturing to a robed figure wearing a paganist mask.
