Sermon commemorating the abolition of the slave trade by the U. S. Congress in 1807 as well as the abolition of slavery in Massachusetts and the slave trade in Europe. The text of the sermon is from Psalm 40:3. “He hath put a new song into my mouth, even praise unto our God. Many shall see it and fear, and shall trust the Lord.”
