22. Pennsylvania Freedmen’s Relief Association (N.p.: [1864?]. (8 p.)


Brief report of the Association’s activities to assist freedmen during the first two years of its existence (1862 and 1863). Money raised by the Association was used to purchase blankets, shoes, hospital stores, and clothing for women and children, which were sent to areas occupied by Union troops in the South for distribution to former slaves. A two-page appendix lists the names of persons contributing to the Association.
