Transcript of a murder trial involving a dispute between a medical doctor and a chemistry professor at Harvard over a debt. The victim, Dr. Parkman, had been murdered and dismembered with parts of his body cremated and other parts immersed in a strong alkaline solution to hasten decomposition. Consequently, the victim’s remains had to be identified by his dental records. The accused, Professor Webster, was found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging.
