6. The Rules of the Institute of Jamaica. For the Encouragement of Literature, Science and Art (Kingston, Jamaica: The Institute of Jamaica, 1896). (11 p.)
Rules affecting members of the Institute of Jamaica and the public. About one third of these rules concern access to the Institute’s library and museum. A list of magazines and newspapers available in the Institute’s library appears on page 10. Books about Jamaica that the Institute wants to purchase are listed inside the front cover and on both sides of the back cover. The publication dates of these books run from 1661 through Nineteenth century, thus providing an interesting bibliography of early Jamaicana.
