Whole issue of a periodical published by the students of Williams College containing correspondence, articles, fiction, and poetry. Mr. Stone has marked several passages in an article entitled “The Freedmen of Port Royal” by an agent of the Christian Commission assigned to South Carolina. The article contains observations and anecdotes concerning Freedmen and their response to the Union army’s administration of the islands.
