Two printed documents bound together. The first concerns a political rally at the Cooper Institute designed to promote a more vigorous prosecution of the war and contains excerpts from speeches delivered at the meeting, including those by Henry Wilson, David Wilmot, George S. Boutwell, and Wendell Phillips. The second document contains a transcript of the complete speech by Carl Schurz at the same meeting.
