3. Report of a Debate on a Despatch [sic] from Lord Bathurst to His Excellency Sir Henry Warde, Governor of Barbados (London: J. S. Brickwood, 1823). (41 p.)

Two speeches in opposition to a proposal by Lord Bathurst to terminate the practice of keeping the local market open on Sundays. Lord Bathurst argues that slaves can not be expected to become good Christians if they are forced to work on the Sabbath. Opponents of his proposal declare that closing the market on Sundays was unfeasible for economic reasons.
