13. The Freedmen’s Record 1 (June 1865): 89-104.
Collection of brief articles dealing with the New-England Freedmen’s Aid Society. One of the articles deals with argument in favor of extending suffrage to African Americans. Another article consists of extracts from the reports of teachers at New Berne, North Carolina, for the month of March. Extracts from twelve letters written by teachers of freedmen in South Carolina and Virginia are in a third article. There is also a list of items donated to freedmen and of officers in fifty-eight branch societies sponsoring teachers.
