This letter from James Street was written to Purser Hewitt, then editor of the Clarion Ledger, in response to an article published in the Clarion Ledger on February 3, 1940. The article stated that Mr. Street lived in Vermont and had written a history of General Sam Dale. Mr. Street disputes both of these statements. The letter goes on to describe his book, Oh, Promised Land.
