Henry C. Davisson served in the United States Army as an assistant physician in the Civil War. He enlisted in Indiana and served in the 84th Regiment of the Indiana Infantry. The collection consists of four letters written to his wife, miscellaneous papers dealing with his service in the army, a map of Vicksburg apparently drawn by Davisson in early 1863, and three wills of Davisson and his wife, Eliza.
