Photocopies of typescripts of letters of the Rabb family. The bulk of the letters are written from William and Hester Rabb to their daughter, Matilda Cecilia Rabb. Dates on the typescripts are April 2, 1851–June 16, 1857; however, typographical errors show some of the dates to be 1900's instead of 1800's, as they probably should be shown. There is also incongruity in the date on at least one letter in which is discussed the invading Union troops during the Civil War, yet the letter is dated 1852. The discussions in the letters include family news and health, the slaves and the weather.
