Sam C. Ray served as the County Superintendent of Education in Choctaw County from 1912 to 1916. During his term, he made many contributions in the up-grading of the educational system for both whites and blacks. This collection contains speeches by Ray; a resolution for the consolidation of schools; and two scrapbooks containing news clippings and speeches of Superintendent Sam C. Ray (19081916.)
