REED (THOMAS BUCK) LETTER

August 15, 1823

Thomas Buck Reed (1787–1829) was a lawyer from Lexington, Kentucky, who came to Natchez to practice law. He became Natchez City Clerk, State Attorney General (1821–1826) and U. S. Senator (1826–1827). This letter was written from Natchez to Stephen H. Strong, Liberty, and concerns the case of Samuel W. Foreman in the Orphans Court of Adams County.
