Compiled by Mrs. Charles A. Neal, Jackson, Mississippi, this volume is a carbon of the typed list of Mississippi Confederate soldiers in certain organizations who fought at Shiloh, Tennessee. Included are Wirt Adams' Regiment of Cavalry, Lindsay's Cavalry, 22nd Mississippi Infantry, 44th Mississippi Infantry (Blythe's),Captain Hoole's Company Mississippi Light Artillery (Hudson Battery), 10th Mississippi Infantry, Byrne's Battery, Captain Stanford's Company Mississippi Light Artillery, Captain Swett's Company Mississippi Light Artillery (Warren Light Artillery).

In one folder are letters to and copies of letters from Mrs. Neal written during the compilation of this roster, undated; May 29,1950–November 1, 1953. Mrs. Robert Bachman was Director of Shiloh Records, U.D.C., and Mrs. Neal, President of the Mississippi Division, U.D.C., was state Director of Shiloh Records.
