The Rev. Henry G. Hawkins, Natchez, served as historian for the Mississippi Conference, Methodist Episcopal Church, South. He was on the committee selected to erect a monument at Washington to commemorate the establishment of the State of Mississippi. The collection includes the Church Conference Record of Pearl River Charge, Jackson District, Mississippi Conference, Methodist Episcopal Church, South, 1899–1903.
