MARSHALL (CHARLES KIMBALL) PAPERS

n.d.; 1834 - 1891

Dr. Charles Kimball Marshall (August 29, 1812–January 14, 1891) was a Methodist minister in Vicksburg, Natchez, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and other towns in Mississippi and Louisiana. The collection includes correspondence to and from Dr. Marshall, sermon notes and a notebook kept by Dr. Marshall during the yellow fever epidemic of 1878. Also in this collection are letters to Bishop Charles B. Galloway: two from Marshall, and four are from his daughter, Annie DeMoss, dated after Marshall's death. Among the undated items is a three page autobiographical sketch of his life.
