Chronological military record of Major General George Hilton Butler (1898–1970). General Butler was born in Martin, Mississippi, died in Nashville, Tennessee, served in World Wars I and II, and later with the National Guard of Tennessee.

The book was compiled by General Butler with the stipulation that it be presented to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History by his brother, Dr. James B. Butler.
