Ditto copies of the three volume manuscript "Steamboats," compiled by William H. Tippitt, Hernando, Mississippi, concerning the steamboat era from 1870–1879. The manuscripts include a brief sketch of numerous steamboats and pictures of the more important. Included is a chronology of steamboat disasters from 1870, various tables showing goods carried, and newspaper advertisements concerning steamboats on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.
