"Biographical Sketch of Sue Landon Vaughn," by L. E. Everland, Seaglade, Florida, dated February 27, 1907, a seven page manuscript written in 1897 by Mrs. Vaughn in which she relates events concerning Decoration Day on April 26, 1865, and other memorabilia comprise this collection.

Sue Adams Landon Vaughan is credited with being the first in Jackson, Mississippi, to decorate the graves of Confederate and Union soldiers of the Civil War, on April 26, 1865.
