A copy of an original diary (December, 1864–May 17, 1865) kept by Duncan McCollum, who was born in Simpson County, Mississippi, and enlisted with the rank of Captain in Company A, 4th Mississippi Cavalry at Pass Christian, on January 19, 1862. Included in the diary is the muster roll of Company A, 4th Mississippi Cavalry.
