Court minutes, briefs, and other papers used in the appeal to the Supreme Court of Mississippi of Will Purvis, who had been accused, convicted, and sentenced to hang for the murder of Willie Buckley in Marion County. Buckley was killed on June 22, 1893, and the trial was held at Columbia on July 31–August 5, 1893. The Supreme Court affirmed the sentence on January 1, 1894.
