Letters of James H. McLeod, of Laurel, Mississippi, to Miss Ellen Steele Satterfield, teacher of English in the Laurel High School, covering the period of his service in the U.S. Army Air Forces from the time of his induction as an air cadet to his mustering out with the rank of captain. As many of the letters are not dated, Miss Satterfield grouped them in postmarked envelopes, bearing the approximate dates of the letters. In arranging these letters for filing, the letters have been numbered according to the envelopes, which are included in the collection.
