Biography/History:

W. H. Keys sold drugs, medicine, cigars, tobacco, and alcoholic beverages in Oxford, Mississippi.

Scope and Content:

This collection consists of two indexed ledgers (1881-1882); fifteen loose pages from an account book (1881); fifty loose pages from a cashbook (1881-1882); and miscellaneous papers of W. H. Keys. Also included is a daybook (1866-1880) recording the settlement of Hinds County, Mississippi, court cases and providing a list of prisoners and charges for 1870.
