Journal (typed copy) kept by the Reverend James A. Lyon, a Presbyterian clergyman of Columbus, and later professor of metaphysics, logic, and political science at the University of Mississippi. The entries are irregular, except upon Lyon's birthday and at the end of the year. The volume contains 250 pages. The original journal is in the possession of Dr. Robert H. White, Nashville, Tennessee.
