Records of the Methodist Quarterly Conference of the Crystal Springs Circuit, which included as many as 20 Methodist churches in Hinds and Copiah counties. Ministers' names appearing in the records are: Jacob T. Swafford, L. Campbell, B. A. Haughton, J. H. Merrill, Jesse Hassell, H. T. Ridens and Samuel L. L. Scott. Included in the records are minutes of the church trial of Samuel L. L. Scott, held at Spring Ridge Church in Hinds County on April 8, 1852, and testimony, depositions and letters concerning this trial by the following: Silas Gaddy, William S. Foote, J. T. Kennon, John Rhodes, Jacob Rhodes, David S. Crook, William L. Myers, William Kersh, Sr., John Kersh, R. Huffman, Jacob Carr, P. Quinn, John B. Lewis, J. B. Daughtry, Murdock Shaw and Samuel Lum. The last item in the collection is entitled "Resolutions of the Cayuga Democratic Club, 1868."
