Dr. Dunbar Rowland was Director of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History from 1902 until 1937. This collection is an addition to another larger collection of his papers in this Department. Included in this collection are letters, business papers and legal papers from 1865 to 1937, miscellaneous bills and invoice, bank books, check stubs and canceled checks. Also there is the typescript for Dr. Rowland's Military History of Mississippi, and for his pamphlet "Restoration of Mississippi's Old Capitol," 1917.
